Enterprise Resource Planning
Hi-Tech Plastics uses a state-of-the-art ERP System to help manage all aspects of our manufacturing and materials operations. EnterpriseIQ, from IQMS, allows us to address the demanding lean standards for manufacturing, on-time delivery, order accuracy, and cost that gives us the edge in meeting our customer requirements.
Within the EnterpriseIQ suite of programs there are programs such as RealTime Machine monitoring, which, as its name implies, provides real time information on how an injection molding press is performing in areas such as cycle times, downtime, and number of parts completed.
There are Inventory Control modules that assist us in tracking our customer’s orders to assure that we deliver the right product in the right amount at the right time. The Preventive Maintenance modules not only allow us to program and track maintenance operations on our injection molding presses to reduce downtime, but also gives us the ability to track mold usage for the customer so that we can schedule regular preventive maintenance on the customer’s molds to extend their useful life.
Finally, we use our ERP System to provide customized reports on inventory, production, quality and shipments that can be automatically e-mailed to our customers providing them with accurate and up-to-date information on what is happening with their product order.
