Sustainability
Sustainability has emerged as a result of significant concerns about the unintended social, environmental, and economic consequences of rapid population growth, economic growth and consumption of our natural resources.
To that end, Hi-Tech Plastics has positioned itself to take advantage of several opportunities to improve our business and still fulfill our social responsibility to the community in which we operate. Hi-Tech Plastics has implemented several methods to reduce our electrical usage creating a more cost-effective operational process and a smaller carbon footprint. By both re-claiming and re-cycling materials we are able to maximize our materials usage that reduces our costs and benefits our environment.
In any given year we will typically re-cycle:
- 422,000 lbs. of plastic
- 110,000 lbs. of cardboard
- 12,000 gallons of oil and lubricants
- 25,000 lbs. of scrap metal
And this is just the beginning. We want to insure our sustainability by drawing on advances in science and technology to protect human health and the environment, and promoting innovative green business practices.
